Believe it or not there can be a lot to do when you are the parent of a child in the club. When you go and watch matches that you children are playing in you are going there as an Earlestown Athletic supporter and you are an ambassador of our club. One of the most common fines that a club will receive is that of Foul or abusive language from a spectator. Thankfully our club does have a good group of parents and we have only once or twice been called in to explain ourselfs. You may or may not relise that if you get angry over something that happens in the game eg, a foul on your child and you shout something, even if it was just for a split second and you never did it again. The referee has to make a report at the end of the game and will write and bad language in the. The league looks at all ref reports and if they deem it to be bringing the game into dissrepute they do bring the club in at the end of the meeting. Our club depends on your help to keep it going forward and in the right direction. Every time you come to one of our events or even when you throw a pound on a raffle you are helping your own children. Subs that are collected from the teams dont even cover half of you teams expenses for the season, as soon as you go 11 a side this percentage drops even futher. I do know that a lot of parent belive that giving a few pounds a week will cover your child for the year but it doesnt even come close.
